Roofer- Residential & Construction Compensation: $35-$45 per/hour Job Type : Full-time, In-person. At NY State Solar, we design, build, and install high-quality solar energy systems across New York. A Roofer will perform tasks related to roofing, construction, including installation, repair, maintenance, preparation, and cleanup. Key Responsibilities: Inspect residential roofs to assess damage, leaks, and structural issues Install new asphalt shingle roofing systems on residential homes according to manufacturer specifications and building codes. Remove old roofing materials and prepare roof surfaces for new installations Work collaboratively with project managers, crew members, and other construction professionals. General Tasks: Assist with gutter installation, flashing, and sealing. Communicate effectively with the team and be prepared with personal tools. Follow instructions and go above and beyond to help the team. Qualifications: 3+ years of Roofing and Construction Experience Expert knowledge of roofing materials and installation for residential projects. In-depth knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and building codes for NYC and Long Island. OSHA 30 certification Valid driver’s license Physically able to meet job demands Comfortable working at heights on roofs.
