Summer Employment Program
Recreation Leaders actively supervise and engage in activities with youth enrolled in UGPRD Summer Camp sessions. They are responsible for leading various activities throughout the day under the guidance of the Recreation Instructor. They ensure that the right equipment is on hand for all activities, meet and greet participants, and answer any questions their parents may have about the activities for the day. Applicants should have the knowledge of a variety of different sports, crafts and activities, enjoy helping the youth develop physically, mentally, and socially. Work environment may be indoors in gymnasiums or outdoors on sporting fields. The workload can be physically demanding whenever they are involved with leading athletic activities. Must be punctual and timely in all requirements of performance. Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 16 years old and must be available to work an 8-hour shift between the following hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Desired applicant has the ability to lead a group in activity, good character, adaptability, enthusiasm, patience and self-control. Salary Range: $15.00/hr.
