Sports Wagering Associate

Responsible for efficiently accepting sports wagers and redeeming guest tickets, ensuring proper gaming procedures are being followed. Adhere to all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures. Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution. Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation. Responsibilities: Write, verify and make payments on tickets for race and sports wagers. Accurately maintain and balance cash till drawer. Explain wagering information to guests. Maintain a good understanding of the major sporting events. Following procedures for reporting any irregular wagering activity or behavior. Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner. Check stock and replace Sportsbook kiosk paper rolls as needed. Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company's internal controls, policies and procedures. Maintain stations with supplies; keep all stations neat and clean. Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality including guests and fellow associate's information. Accept deposits and make withdrawal payments for guests for online gaming accounts. Ability to provide guests with general knowledge of the online gaming platform. Attend all meetings and complete all training as required. Compliance with all AML, CTR, Title 31 Regulations including actively monitoring and enforcing adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, specifically focusing on the requirements outlined in the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) - also known as "Title 31" - including collecting the information for filing of Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), by identifying and reporting suspicious activity. Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Arkansas Gaming Commission. Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED is required. Ability to perform 10-key by touch. Previous money-handling experience is required (preferably in the field of banking). Testing: Must score an 85% on the Basic Math Test. Must take the required testing identified for this position. Special Qualifications: Must possess outstanding communication skills both oral and written. Must be able to work unsupervised, while working efficiently and correctly. Must be professional in appearance and attitude. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or associates. Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Physical Demands: Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lifting or maneuvering at least twenty-five (25) pounds, walking or standing for 100% of the assigned shift. Bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling may be required throughout shift. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke, bright lights, and dust. Availability: Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, this position will regularly include early morning, evening, weekend shifts and holidays as assigned work schedules including training and/or meetings.
