Marketing and Proposal Manager

Overview Des Moines, IA | Full-Time About The Role Waldinger Corporation is looking for a sharp, creative, and organized Marketing & Proposal Manager to join our Marketing & Communications team in Des Moines. In this role, you'll be a key player in winning new business — partnering with sales and leadership to craft compelling proposals, sharpen our messaging, and build the systems that set our team up for long-term success. What You’ll Do Lead proposal development — own the full lifecycle of RFP responses, from strategy through submission, ensuring every package aligns with client requirements, sales objectives, and Waldinger's brand standards Build a winning content library — develop and maintain reusable templates, team bios, project spotlights, and other proposal components that make great responses faster to produce Translate the technical — take complex concepts from subject matter experts and transform them into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with clients Drive collaboration — serve as the connective tissue between business development, technical teams, and marketing, keeping stakeholders aligned and timelines on track Improve the process — continuously refine documentation practices, tools, and workflows to improve quality and efficiency across the team Manage content and assets — maintain the document control system, coordinate project and personnel photography, and partner with the Corporate Communications team on asset storage What You Bring 5–7 years of proposal writing experience, ideally in a B2B or technical industry Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Business, or a related field Exceptional writing and editing skills with an eye for design and layout Strong project management instincts — you keep things moving without being asked twice Ability to travel occasionally as needed What We Offer Competitive pay with 401(k) + company match and profit sharing Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid holidays and vacation Tuition reimbursement and continuing education support Health club reimbursement + wellness plan with lifestyle spending account Term, AD&D, and Dependent Life insurance Prepaid Legal Real growth potential within a stable, established company Waldinger is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
