Graphic Communications Executive
Position Profile
The Graphic Communications Executive is responsible for selling continuous-feed inkjet solutions, workflow technologies, and marketing solutions within the Graphic Communications vertical. This role focuses on driving growth in the commercial print market and requires strong B2B sales experience within the Commercial Print vertical.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Lead Ricoh’s penetration and expansion efforts within the Graphic Communications vertical through targeted customer strategies, including segmentation, awareness initiatives, and relationship development.
Evangelize new sheetfed EP and inkjet technologies.
Consult with business owners and senior executives on the advantages of new technology to drive revenue growth and reduce costs.
Develop effective ROI analyses for proposed solutions.
Drive business development within the assigned territory.
Manage, protect, and grow the territory by analyzing customer communication needs and developing appropriate solutions for both new and existing clients.
Deliver, install, and support strategies, products, and equipment within the assigned territory.
Meet or exceed revenue targets and gross profit expectations, including page volume growth.
Prepare impactful briefings, proposals, and value propositions for assigned accounts.
Take ownership of resolving workflow or technical issues in collaboration with Professional Services and Customer Service teams.
Maintain accurate account activity records in Ricoh’s sales database and CRM. Serve as the primary contact for documentation and paperwork associated with each sale.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications)
Typically Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
7–10 years of B2B sales experience, including at least 5 years of advanced selling of high‑volume printers—preferably continuous feed and inkjet.
Deep sales experience within the Graphic Communications vertical.
Demonstrated success in complex, consultative sales engagements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven ability to develop new business markets and opportunities.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Graphic Communications industry.
In‑depth understanding of technology and end‑to‑end complex solution selling.
Strong knowledge of sales methodologies and processes within a matrixed environment.
Excellent negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal, time management, and self‑motivation abilities.
Demonstrated success working collaboratively with diverse teams.
Ability to manage order, delivery, and implementation processes effectively.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related technologies.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands
Work is typically conducted in a home office or corporate office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and noise levels.
Role involves cyclical stress due to frequent goals and deadlines, and daily stress associated with decision‑making and outcome responsibility.
Requires minor physical effort, including periods of walking, standing, bending, or carrying items under 10 lbs. (such as paper, files, or small parts).
Requires moderate manual dexterity and regular use of basic tools (keyboard, calculator, etc.).
Daily travel to customer sites is required; facilities may not always be accessible via public transportation.
