This role focuses on providing high‑quality account service to our small business clients! Location California – Remote (US states) What You’ll Do Process applications, policies, endorsements, binders, certificates, audit requests and other servicing items during non‑renewal periods. Assist clients with policy coverage, exclusions, and related questions; support Producers in servicing clients. Service client accounts under oversight of Producers or Account Executives; conduct research/analysis and handle client questions on coverage and contract issues; make routine policy adjustments. Conduct renewal processes, including exposure analysis, strategic discussions with Producer/Account Executive and client, market comparisons, quote evaluation, premium and commission negotiation, proposal preparation, and binder accuracy oversight. Provide support to Producers and Account Executives by preparing presentations, proposals, and participating in client meetings. Maintain client files in appropriate systems; prepare billing and provide standard office/administrative support. Build and maintain high levels of trust with clients through introductions, periodic contacts, and rapid response to client questions and issues. Process all applications, policies, endorsements, mail, binders, schedules, certificates, audits, and related items in a timely and accurate manner. Inform and educate clients about coverage changes, exclusions, and insurance needs. Assist clients in making coverage changes. Ensure timely, accurate invoicing and monthly expirations. Meet all quality and timeliness standards in the Agency Management System with proper documentation of all activity. Other duties may be assigned. Marketing Responsibilities Determine strategy with Sales, covering pricing, coverage determination, and market targeting. Submit applications with proper documentation and follow up to secure quotes and policies. Negotiate premiums and commissions with underwriters and wholesalers. Prepare proposals and provide technical support in the sales process. Collaborate with Sales to refer clients to E.P.I.C.’s Employee Benefits and Private Client Departments. Other duties may be assigned. Personal and Organizational Development Set priorities and manage workflow for efficient, accurate processing of all responsibilities. Maintain cordial and effective relationships with clients, co‑workers, carriers, wholesalers, vendors, and other contacts. Keep proposals, workflow logs, manuals, and records up to date. Communicate effectively, cooperate purposefully, and provide guidance to achieve company goals. Stay informed on industry developments, new products, legislation, and technology. Resolve problems or enhance service promptly. Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, juggling multiple tasks. Demonstrate full knowledge of Property‑Casualty coverage, Agency Management Systems, rating procedures, and industry operations. Proficient in the Internet, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel). Strong attention to detail, time management, and multi‑tasking abilities. Work effectively independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral. What You’ll Bring High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent (college degree preferred). Two or more years of experience in a mid‑size brokerage or carrier. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and juggle multiple tasks. High level of interpersonal skills for sensitive and confidential situations; teamwork, poise, tact, and diplomacy. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations California Fire and Casualty Broker License Valid Driver License The national average hourly pay rate for this role is $38.00–$41.00, exclusive of bonuses or benefits. Compensation will be based on experience, skills, certifications, and education, and will consider internal equity and market data.
