About the Company
Our client is a venture-backed, mission-driven Public Benefit Corporation building a new category: Mental Fitness for organizations.
They provide proactive, daily mental performance training designed to improve resilience, focus, and engagement across teams. Unlike meditation apps or therapy, this is positioned as the mental equivalent of a gym membership for organizations.
The company has already scaled past $1M ARR, secured seed funding, and established strong traction across churches, schools, nonprofits, and other organizations, with clear expansion plans into healthcare and mid-market employers.
The Role
This is the first Business Development Representative hire, working directly alongside the CEO to build and scale the outbound sales engine.
You will be responsible for generating qualified meetings, building your own pipeline, and driving top‑of‑funnel activity that converts into revenue.
This is not a plug‑and‑play role. You will help build the playbook while executing at a high level.
What You’ll Be Doing
Generate 30–60 qualified meetings per month through outbound prospecting
Execute high‑volume outreach (100+ new leads per day) across multi‑channel sequences
Build and manage your own targeted lead lists within defined ICPs
Prospect organizations with $10K+ potential contract value
Run structured outreach sequences (email, calls, voicemail, text)
Convert responses into booked and qualified meetings
Maintain CRM hygiene with real‑time updates (HubSpot)
Respond to inbound leads within 10 minutes during business hours
Participate in daily standups, weekly pipeline reviews, and reporting
Compensation Structure
You will receive an annual base salary of $24,000 + performance related commission of $6.5k+ /month (uncapped) You will also receive a non‑recoverable draw of $5k for the first 2 months to support ramp. If you are on the team for 12+ months, you will also be granted shares.
Who We’re Looking For
1+ year outbound BDR/SDR experience ideally in HR, education, or nonprofit sectors
Proven ability to handle high‑volume activity (100+ leads/day)
Track record of booking 20+ qualified meetings/month
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with multi‑channel outreach and CRM systems
Active user of AI tools to improve efficiency and output
Comfortable building your own pipeline and prospect lists
Must be able to work full‑time in‑office (no remote option)
