North Star Community Credit Union is seeking a results-driven professional to originate, manage, and supervise our commercial loan portfolio while shaping agricultural lending strategy in the Devils Lake region. The Ideal Candidate
35 years of commercial or agricultural lending experience Expertise in North Dakota agricultural markets Proven success with large-scale crop and livestock producers, agribusiness operations, or complex farm financing structures Experience managing significant agricultural loan portfolios in rural financial institutions Strong analytical skills and ability to structure creative, tailored lending solutions Relationship-focused, results-driven, autonomous, and ready to lead Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry certification preferred Key Responsibilities
Originate, manage, and supervise loans: Take ownership of North Star's commercial loan portfolio, maintaining and improving asset quality while developing new and existing business relationships Business development: Grow your portfolio by cultivating high-value agricultural and commercial clients in the Devils Lake area Financial analysis & structuring: Review business financials, assess risk, and structure loans that maximize client success and portfolio performance Portfolio oversight & compliance: Monitor assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation Member & community engagement: Provide strategic guidance to members and represent North Star in industry and local events to strengthen relationships and lending opportunities Why This Role Stands Out
