Job Title: Senior Oracle OLFM Functional Consultant - Contract Conversion & Contract Aging (EBS R12.2)

Role Summary
Lead the functional design and delivery of legacy-to-OLFM contract conversion, ensuring migrated contracts are aged (recreated to their life-to-date state) so that billing, receipts, accruals, balances, and aging align precisely on day one. Partner with Finance, Operations, and IT to define the conversion blueprint, govern data quality, and execute mock loads through to cutover and hyper-care.
Key Responsibilities
Conversion Strategy & Governance • Own the end-to-end conversion strategy: scope, approach (staged vs big-bang), mock plan, cutover, fallback/rollback, and hyper-care. • Define aging methodology to reconstruct each contract's historical position (inception-to-date) so that opening AR, unbilled, accruals, delinquency status, and next-due schedules are accurate post-go-live. • Establish data quality rules (mandatory fields, effective dates, status logic) and sign-off checkpoints with business and finance leads.
Data Mapping, Aging & Enrichme nt • Create source-to-target mappings for: contract headers/versions, asset/service lines, streams (rent, residual, principal, interest), taxes, security deposits, vendor funding, fees/penalties, invoices/credit memos/receipts, aging buckets/delinquency, and (if applicable) investor pool links.
• Design aging logic (life-to-date re-creation) to:
o Rebuild payment schedules/streams and set correct next due date.
o Carry forward open invoices, unapplied cash, and AR aging by bucket.
o Reflect late charges/interest, waivers, balance write-offs, and disputes.
o Preserve termination/renewal history and evergreen flags where relevant. • Define derived/enriched fields (e.g., assignable indicators, residual values, remaining term, risk flags) required by OLFM processes and reports.
Accounting, Reconciliation & Controls • Partner with Finance to confirm opening balances and SLA/GL alignment; define journal validation rules (event classes, account derivation, descriptions). • Build reconciliation frameworks:
o Contract trial balance → AR subledger → SLA journals → GL.
o AR aging report → contract-level exposure (by bucket/site).
o For operating leases, asset linkage → Oracle Assets (depreciation status, NBV). • Implement conversion controls: record-level exceptions, tolerance thresholds, error queues, and auditable run logs.
Testing, Cutover & Hyper-care • Lead SIT/UAT for conversion scenarios (initial load, delta corrections, re-aging logic, edge cases: repossessions, partial terminations, restructures). • Orchestrate cutover rehearsals (mock loads), blackout windows, final aging snapshots, and go/no-go criteria. • Stand-up Day-1/Day-30 defect triage, data fix playbooks, and user support guides.
Required Experience & Skills • 8-12+ years Oracle EBS; 5+ years hands-on OLFM with 2+ full-cycle conversions as functional lead. • Proven expertise in contract aging (life-to-date reconstruction) and financial tie-outs (contract → AR → SLA/GL → FA), including aging buckets/delinquency setup. • Strong grasp of Operating vs Finance leases and Loan constructs; deep knowledge of streams (rent, residual, principal, interest), pricing, and termination/renewal impacts on balances. • Excellent documentation, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder communication.
