Entry Level Financial Analyst
As a Securities Analyst II, you will be responsible for processing the most complex transactions or reconcilements related to loan or security payments. You will play a key role in providing remittance and correction information to servicers, monitoring and analyzing pooled loans to determine non-compliance, and communicating vital information to investors. You will evaluate servicer performance to ensure compliance with stated agreements and participate in system enhancements by attending user groups and testing. Responsibilities: Process complex transactions and reconcilements related to loan or security payments. Provide remittance and correction information to servicers. Monitor and analyze pooled loans for non-compliance and communicate findings to investors. Evaluate servicer performance for compliance with agreements. Participate in system enhancements through user group attendance and testing. Communicate processing exceptions across individual portfolios. Maintain expertise in areas such as Collateral, Securities, Default, or Trust Administration. Train junior staff and review their processing and reconciliations. Propose and implement automated solutions on an ongoing basis. Essential Skills: Strong skills in business analysis and finance. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and V Look Up. Experience in data entry and analysis. Ability to research and interpret controlling legal documents. Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business, or a related field. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Preferably 1+ years of experience in Financial Services, including internship experience. Work Environment: The work environment is team-oriented and task-based, with a focus on meeting deadlines. A hybrid flexible schedule is offered, with some training and large team meetings conducted on-site. The role allows for remote flexibility, unless a large conference or team meeting is scheduled in Columbia, MD. The environment is fast-paced and requires overtime during peak periods to complete analyses. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, MD.
