This is a remote position. The Contingent Plan is actively recruiting an experienced database administrator for its client based in the Twin Cities. This is an immediate need and the client will move quickly with the right candidates. Compensation is competitive and depends on experience. This is a temporary assignment that is expected to last 6 months. The assignment will likely be extended based on performance and the client's needs. The role is 40 hours/week and it may be performed remotely. There is a preference for candidates in the upper Midwest. But, the client will consider candidates outside of this region based on qualifications. Sorry, no sponsorship is available at this time. Responsibilities: Maintain SQL Server, Oracle, and PostGRES instances, schemas, and tables located on the Amazon Cloud Maintain SQL Server instances, schemas, and tables hosted at the enterprise Create basic data models and documentation Identify unused or duplicate tables for deletion Implement best practices for SQL Server, Oracle, and PostGRES Respond to and carry out database work requests Perform performance tuning and optimization as applicable Create and maintain ETL (Extraction, Translate, Load) for data submissions Create data sets for Tableau use Assist with database aspect for projects including setting up a data warehouse and software rewrites Create documentation for work completed and transfer knowledge to staff Requirements: Five years combined experience in SQL Server, Oracle, and PostGRES database management including at least 6 months in each of these databases. 5+ years experience in database migration using ETL tools 5+ years experience with performance analysis tools Prior consulting experience with at least 6 months each in lead database administration Prior experience with AWS preferred Experience with advanced analytical design and data modeling experience a plus Able to pass all required background checks.
