HSDM invites applications for a full‑time position as the Predoctoral Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This appointment is expected to be at the assistant or associate professor level. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants should have a strong record and future promise in teaching, service, and scholarship in OMS and be prepared to join a vibrant program, recognized nationally and internationally for educating leaders in research, patient care and service. Responsibilities
Plan, evaluate, and revise the predoctoral OMS curriculum to provide high quality instruction. Ensure predoctoral students and advanced graduate residents meet required course outcomes and educational accreditation standards. Lead the development and enhancement of the clinical experience for students via direct and indirect clinical supervision, including surgeries and sedation oversight for predoctoral and advanced graduate students. Lead the planning of hospital‑based procedures within and outside Mass General Brigham Hospital and/or development of an intramural faculty practice at the Harvard Dental Center, depending on interest, availability, and department needs. Basic Qualifications
DDS or DMD degree from an ADA‑accredited dental school. Completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery training program with American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery certification or eligibility. U.S. citizen or permanent resident and eligible for licensure in dentistry and anesthesia in Massachusetts. Foreign dental school graduates eligible for Massachusetts licensure in dentistry and general anesthesia. Additional Qualifications
