Architectural Designer
The Architectural Designer role requires a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field, along with 5–10 years of full-time experience in architectural CAD/REVIT drafting and construction documentation. Candidates should have at least three years of experience in commercial design projects. Experience working on Department of Defense (DoD), Federal, Military, or Army Corp of Engineers is required.
Applicants must demonstrate strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and general internet applications. Required technical skills include fluency in Revit (v2018 or higher), AutoCAD (v2011 or higher), and SketchUp. Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is preferred but not essential. A LEED Green Associate credential and California architectural licensure are additional pluses.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and production of construction documents.
Coordinate effectively with multiple disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
Translate design intent into clear, accurate, and constructible drawings.
Produce detailed drawings primarily in Revit and conduct QA/QC reviews of drawing sets.
Support architectural design, construction administration, and project management activities.
Participate in schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
Ensure all documentation complies with current codes, standards, and DoD project requirements.
Essential Skills
5–10 years of strong technical experience in architectural design and documentation.
Experience with DoD or other government contract projects within the last three years.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and basic BIM coordination workflows.
Advanced construction documentation skills and attention to technical detail.
Additional Qualifications
LEED Green Associate credential preferred.
California architectural licensure preferred.
Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign preferred.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
