Position Overview We are currently seeking an experienced
Senior Audit Associate
to join our audit team. This individual will play a key role in managing audit engagements, mentoring junior staff, and supporting client relationships while continuing to develop technically and professionally.
Responsibilities
Supervise all aspects of audit engagements, including planning, execution, and review of workpapers
Prepare and review audited financial statements
Participate in client meetings and communication
Train and mentor staff-level audit associates
Ensure compliance with firm policies and professional standards
Begin developing strong client relationships and engagement ownership
Supervise audit and select non-audit engagements efficiently
Technical Development Expectations
Develop a strong working knowledge of GAAP, OCBOA, and specialized accounting principles
Apply Generally Accepted Auditing Standards and common audit procedures
Demonstrate technical proficiency sufficient to supervise staff accountants
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
CPA license, CPA exam passed, or CPA-eligible
3+ years of public accounting audit experience
Experience with nonprofit clients preferred
Strong accounting and analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Acrobat and QuickBooks a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
