Anticipated Start Date: June 2026 Please note that an in-person interview may be required as a part of the interview process. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will support the Underwriting Middle Market Package team and act as the owner and principal facilitator of assigned accounts. The Underwriting Assistant will perform front-to-end activities throughout the life cycle of renewal and prospect accounts from submission to expiration with Underwriting oversight. What You’ll Be Doing

What will your essential responsibilities include? Pre-underwrites, evaluates risk, and assesses completeness of the underwriting package before the underwriter review. Communicate directly with Brokers on behalf of the Underwriters to collect account and insured information necessary for risk analysis. Apply knowledge of line-of-business product underwriting rules and/or guidelines for pre-analysis support of submission in preparation for quoting. Collaborate with Underwriters, Brokers, Reinsurers, and internal units within AXA XL to manage the status and workflow of multiple tasks and accounts. Communicate account status to ensure completion of outstanding subjectivities needed to execute policy issuance and premium collection for bound accounts. Develop initial pricing, basic coverage structuring, quotation, and binder packages of the risk on behalf of the underwriter. Calculate base rating and apply experience modifications as part of the underwriting package completed by the Underwriting Support Unit for Underwriter review. Manage the workflow of multiple tasks and maintain understanding of the status of various tasks owned by Underwriters, Brokers, Reinsurers, AXA XL internal network, and Fronting Partners worldwide. Collaborate and correspond verbally and in writing with internal and external contacts worldwide, accounting for language differences and time zones to achieve high levels of service and meet client expectations. Utilize the Salesforce platform to ensure accurate and timely input of information critical to underwriting team needs for work tracking, productivity, and service delivery. Potentially participate in projects where the unit may provide Subject Matter Expert support related to the Underwriting Support Unit. Assess when quality control of coding and issuance output is necessary to ensure accuracy (e.g., exposure bases, limits, coverage extensions, modifications, data entry). Collaborate with Underwriters, Product Management, Legal and Regulatory as necessary to perform pre-bind activities and confirm policy issuance instructions and manuscript wording, regulatory notices, certificates, etc. Location & Start
