We’re currently working with a long-established

WNY manufacturer

that’s looking to add a

Direct Sales Representative

to cover a territory across

New York State and Eastern Canada (Ontario & Quebec) . This is a good role for someone who enjoys being in front of customers, understanding their processes, and bringing real solutions to the table. It’s not an order-taking position — it’s about building relationships, identifying opportunities, and working closely with engineering teams to deliver products that genuinely improve performance. For the right person, this is an opportunity to take ownership of a well-established territory, grow existing accounts, and drive new business while representing a company known for technical expertise and high-performance products. What You’ll Do

Manage and grow an existing book of business across New York State and Eastern Canada Develop new business through prospecting, outreach, and industry networking Build strong relationships with customers across engineering, operations, and purchasing teams Conduct on-site visits to understand customer processes and recommend tailored solutions Partner with internal engineering teams to develop custom product specifications Communicate product value through performance improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains Maintain accurate pipeline and account activity using CRM tools Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the territory Represent the company at trade shows, customer visits, and industry events Travel regularly throughout the territory to support customers and develop new opportunities What We’re Looking For

3–7 years of experience in

technical or industrial sales , or a combination of manufacturing experience with a strong interest in sales Understanding of

metalworking, machining, grinding, or cutting tool applications Proven ability to develop new business while maintaining existing accounts Strong consultative selling skills and ability to navigate technical sales processes Self-directed and organized, with the ability to manage a large territory independently Comfortable working in a technical environment and learning complex products Strong communication and relationship-building skills Experience with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Ability to travel ~50% and work across the U.S./Canada border
