Responsibilities
Promote and market lottery tickets and programs to Minnesota’s largest retail outlets and chain stores.
Collaborate with executive-level leaders to sell and implement marketing initiatives for lottery games and promotions.
Maximize sales by analyzing potential, setting goals, developing action plans, and executing effective sales strategies.
Understand each chain’s strengths and weaknesses, recommend solutions to drive performance, and prepare and deliver retailer-specific presentations.
Increase sales at assigned corporate accounts and serve as a liaison and corporate consultant for Lottery staff and corporate account officials.
Recruit corporate and independent quality retail accounts to sell lottery products.
Negotiate merchandising of lottery products at assigned corporate accounts.
Provide support to all lottery functions as needed.
Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with staff, supervisors, and customers.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of professional sales experience that includes territory management, product merchandising, and promotional experience (counter sales, sales of services, and delivery driving do not count).
Or a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, or a related field AND two years of professional sales experience as described above.
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
All applicants must possess and maintain a valid Class D Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling a major consumer product (e.g., Frito-Lay, Nabisco, Pepsi, Philip Morris).
Experience in gaming or entertainment industries.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Presentation and/or public speaking experience.
Bi-lingual speaking.
Physical Requirements This job requires occasionally lifting articles up to 25-30 pounds and frequently lifting and/or carrying objects such as promotional materials and dispenser cases. The role may involve walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods.
