Logistics & Work Environment

This full-time position at our Columbia Branch involves work in a warehouse facility where mobility and awareness of environmental hazards are required. Work week: Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week. Occasionally, this role is required to respond to organizational needs outside of normal working hours. Position Overview

The Fulfillment Lead supports the Fulfillment Manager by coordinating and directing all Fulfillment activities to ensure smooth and efficient distribution of products to partner agencies. Tasks include pulling orders, unloading deliveries, repacking products, operating warehouse equipment, supervising volunteers, and maintaining the workspace. Assists Fulfillment Manager with the team’s daily duties and oversight. Serves as backup manager when the Fulfillment Manager is out of the building, on PTO, etc. Pulls and stocks refrigerated goods for display in distribution areas and communicates plan to the Fulfillment Manager. Oversees Agency Relations Sales Order and Pick, Pack, and Ship processes, including task assignment, order pulling and staging, assisting agencies with shopping and product weighing, and recording transactions for inventory. Assists with growth of distribution through the mobile pantry program and general distribution to agencies. Completes all Sales Orders for agencies, Mobile Food Pantries, CSFP, and other program distributions. Ensures the distribution area is neat, clean, debris-free, and media-ready at all times. Alerts the Agency Relations Coordinator of any order fulfillment issues. Plans direct drops and solicits agencies to receive short-dated or bulk product loads to reduce waste and improve outbound pounds. Provides backup to warehouse operations as needed. Maintains neat, legible shrink wrap and pallet tags. Performs daily inspections for refrigeration sanitation and neatness, including cleanup of refuse, pallet squaring, and preparation for the next day’s work. Ensures tidiness and organization of work areas including cooler and distribution dry storage areas. Upholds food safety principles and assists in verifying food safety standards through visual inspection, handling, and temperature monitoring when applicable. Ensures required documentation for compliance with occupational safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements is complete and current. Maintains knowledge of warehouse inventory and assists with monthly inventory, counting, and reconciliation. Ensures a FEFO (First Expired, First Out) system is used for all inventory (refrigerated, frozen, dry, and CNS products). Other duties as assigned. Team Member Accountabilities

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field. Three or more years of related experience and/or training. Time management skills and the ability to multitask. Ability to lead and direct other team members. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Effective communication and training skills with diverse groups as part of a team. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to give clear directions to volunteers. Ability to positively interact with internal and external customers. Good math and writing skills with the ability to keep accurate records. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge and application of safe work practices and a safety-minded attitude.
