
Senior Interior Designer

We are looking for a Senior Designer to lead the design vision for commercial workplace interior projects while supporting new business development efforts. This role will take ownership of design for prospective clients and active projects, collaborating closely with leadership to shape concepts, presentations, and client-facing materials. The position combines hands-on design execution with strategic input on new opportunities, including space planning, renderings, and workplace design solutions. This is a strong fit for someone who can operate independently while elevating the overall design standard across projects.
Responsibilities
Lead design efforts for new and existing workplace interior projects from concept through delivery
Partner with leadership to develop design concepts and presentations for prospective clients
Produce space plans, test fits, and layout options aligned with client needs and workplace functionality
Create high-quality renderings and visual materials to support client presentations and project approvals
Oversee design development including material selection, finishes, and detailing for high-end interior environments
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and external partners to ensure design intent is maintained
Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design reviews as a key design lead
Balance individual project design work with firm-wide support on new pursuits and proposals
Ensure designs align with budgets, schedules, and constructability requirements
Stay current on workplace trends, materials, and design innovations to elevate project outcomes
Requirements
7-12+ years of experience in commercial interior design, with a focus on workplace environments
Strong experience in space planning, test fits, and corporate office design
Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software
Proven ability to produce client-ready presentations and high-quality visualizations
Experience working directly with clients in a design lead or senior designer capacity
Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and detailing in high-end interior projects
Ability to work independently while contributing to team collaboration and business development efforts
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field required
