Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and development of projects from concept through installation under the guidance of senior leadership. Lead multiple projects or project phases from concept through installation, under guidance of the Design Director and Principal. Develop and present design concepts and material palettes. Produce furniture plans, elevations, millwork drawings, and detailed furnishing layouts using AutoCAD. Furniture 3D modeling is a plus. Produce high-quality visual communication materials, including hand sketches, digital drafting, and 3D modeling. Prepare sourcing design presentations and visual communication materials including sketches, renderings, and presentation boards. Research and source architectural finishes, fabrics, and materials aligned with the project vision. Maintain strong knowledge of architectural materials, construction fundamentals, and custom detailing to support project execution. Proficient with architectural vocab / fundamentals of building construction and assembly to ensure on-site construction is maintained to level to CHH. Skills
Strong visual communication skills (hand drafting, digital drafting, 3D modeling). Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, Studio Designer, Figma Blue Beam and Hand sketching. Proficiency in Studio Designer, Harvest, Wrike, or comparable project management and procurement software. 2. Sourcing, Procurement & FF&E Management
Assist in the development of finish plans, schedules, and specifications. Coordinate with consultants and vendors to ensure technical accuracy of drawings and specifications. Maintain organized project documentation including drawings, schedules, and specifications. Research and source furnishings, materials, and vendors aligned with project budgets and timelines. Project day‑to‑day coordination with consultants and third‑party consultants/vendors. Assist with procurement, scheduling, and tracking of FF&E. Request and review vendor quotes for accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with vendors on custom furniture development, production timelines, and specifications. 3. Project Management & Execution
Communicate directly with clients, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle. Support the management of multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining project schedules and deadlines. Conduct site visits, field measurements, and installation support. Assist in resolving on‑site conditions and coordinating with contractors and consultants. Monitor progress of project deliverables and elevate issues when necessary. 4. Client & Relationship Management
Assist in preparing and delivering client presentations. Communicate effectively with internal teams, consultants, and vendors. Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure alignment across project phases. Support and mentor junior staff or interns when applicable. Core Competencies

Reports To: Direct Line of Supervision: Provides oversight and day‑to‑day direction to Design Assistants and Interns, as applicable. Acts as a peer mentor to other designers, offering guidance, collaboration, and knowledge sharing without formal supervisory responsibility. Delegates drafting, presentation preparation, procurement tracking, and scheduling tasks while maintaining accountability for accuracy and quality. Partners with Operations and Finance for procurement and project financial tracking but does not directly supervise those teams.
