The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, energetic individual to serve as Springfield Administrative Facilities Manager. Under direction, this position will be a working manager, traveling to various facilities to coordinate building requirements and oversee property moves within and between sites. The position will investigate complaints regarding environment and Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Standards and evaluate and resolve such complaints. The position will also assist in the distribution of key codes and keys and the ongoing maintenance of security systems. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is interested in helping ensure the Department’s facilities meet all standards and adequately provide the resources needed to enable our employees to do their jobs. Serves as Springfield Administrative Facilities Manager Serves as working supervisor Works closely with the Agency’s Security System Coordinator to ensure the region’s compliance with Agency safety standards Provides input into the evaluation and implementation of the Agency’s goals for meeting and maintaining Council on Accreditation standards related to facilities, equipment, and recordkeeping Organizes goals and objectives for the distribution/delivery of internal and inter-office mail delivery for the Springfield Administrative offices Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the duties enumerated above Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration Requires one year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program Specialized Skills
Of the noted year of experience, requires that the experience include facility management for multiple buildings
