Overview
FWI is building a team to provide graphic design, photography, Section 508 remediation, and related production services for the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Public Affairs. As a Graphic Designer, you will work alongside senior designers to produce digital and print products supporting DOL program missions and initiatives from the on-site Creative Services facility.

Work Schedule and Location
On-Site. This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 830am to 5pm at DOL Frances Perkins Bldg in Washington, DC. Some telework may be allowed.
Responsibilities
Produce digital and print products including but not limited to posters, exhibits, stage banners, web banners, infographics, cover designs, booklets, flyers, forms, certificates, brochures, stationery, charts, graphs, tent cards, and signs
Import and generate graphic images using Macintosh computers and industry-standard software
Perform electronic scanning and conversion of electronic files
Operate standard graphic design tools and production equipment including printers, mounting equipment, and cutting boards
Support senior designers on complex projects and high-priority assignments
Prioritize work to complete each project within required timeframes; proactively notify the COR of any anticipated delays
Ensure all final products meet Section 508 accessibility standards
Upload all final files to the DOL server with relevant metadata tracking content in accordance with IPTC standards
Qualifications
5 years of experience in the graphic design field
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Word
Experience preparing visual media using Macintosh computers and traditional graphic tools and equipment
Basic knowledge of Section 508 Accessibility Requirements
Professional portfolio demonstrating competence in the development of computer graphic images and materials
