Description:
DUTIES (include but not limited to the following): Conducts developmental evaluations/assessments in the home or in a community setting to determine a child’s Part C eligibility and plan service needs Develops individualized, evidence-based strategies which promote planned interactions and active participation of caregivers, children, materials, and the specific environment that leads to achieving IFSP outcomes Uses a coaching interaction style that provides families and caregivers with information, skills, and support related to enhancing a child's development Functions as a Primary Service Provider (PSP) to deliver special instruction in the child’s home or community setting in accordance with Chapter 5180-10 of the OAC Promotes an infant's or toddler's acquisition of functional skills across developmental areas, including cognitive processes and social interaction through adaptation of the child's learning environment Uses formal and informal methods to provide ongoing assessment and progress monitoring Participates as a member of the trans-disciplinary team; attends weekly team meetings, semi-annual IFSP meetings, and Transition Planning Conferences QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS (include but not limited to the following): Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood special education, family relations & human development, social sciences, or related field Eligible for Developmental Specialist certification issued by the Department of Children & Youth (DCY), as outlined in Ohio Administrative Code 5180-10-05 Knowledge of infant and toddler development and evaluation and assessment tools Knowledge of evidenced-based intervention strategies, parent coaching interactions, and adult learning preferences Evidence of a valid driver’s license in state of residence, good driving record and full liability coverage on any vehicle used for transportation; continued maintenance of excellent driving record Able to establish and maintain positive rapport with child and family members Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Possess PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; proficiency in iPad use SALARY:
As per schedule HOURS:
