Summer Recreation Leader
This job posting is to fill upcoming Summer openings for Recreation Leader. Under the direction of the Recreation Specialist, Recreation Leaders will be responsible for the supervision of children (6
12 years of age) in the Benicia Parks & Community Services Department. Job duties include planning and scheduling daily activities such as arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, low-key sports activities, and special events. The Adventures Day Camp program runs Monday through Friday. Program hours are from 7 a.m.
6:30 p.m. in the summer with all staff training conducted every other Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Recreation Leader position is a mandated reporter position. Representative Duties / Qualifications: Must be at least 15 years of age. Previous experience working with children preferred. Supplemental Information

Unless otherwise eligible for CalPERS retirement system, employees in this category are enrolled in PARS, an alternate retirement system, and employees have a 6.2% payroll deduction towards PARS. The City does not participate in Social Security except for the required Medicare program, which is a 1.45% payroll deduction.
