An experienced Ophthalmic Technician /Assistant is sought for our private ophthalmology practice in Durham, NC.

Responsibilities
Taking patient history
Checking Visual Acuity
Checking IOPs (Goldman applanation)
Assessing Pupils, EOMS, and Confrontation Fields
Manual/Manifest Refractions
Visual Fields, OCTs, IOL Master, Topography, Pachymetry
Applicants should already be very familiar with all of the above aspects of ophthalmology patient workups.
Please do not apply if you do not already have the above skills.
Qualifications
At least 1 full year of experience working with an ophthalmologist as an ophthalmic technician or assistant
At least one year of prior experience with the following: taking patient history; checking Visual Acuity; checking IOPs (Goldman applanation); assessing Pupils, EOMS, and Confrontation Fields; manual/Manifest refractions; Visual Fields, OCTs, IOL Master, Topography, Pachymetry

Management opportunities exist for experienced ophthalmic technicians with administrative interests and a desire to grow into a leadership/managerial role
