International Hardwood Lumber Representative
Beasley Group, Hazlehurst, GA, United States
Reports To: Director of International Sales
Travel: Up to 15% (Domestic & International)
The Big Picture
Beasley Forest Products is a premier exporter of high-quality hardwood and pine lumber. We bridge the gap between Georgia’s rich natural resources and global markets. We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented professional who is as comfortable in work boots at the mill as they are navigating international logistics.
This isn't just a desk job; it’s a role for someone who loves the smell of sawdust, the complexity of global trade, and the excitement of international travel.
Your Core Mission
International Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for global clients, ensuring order accuracy and building long-term partnerships.
Logistics Coordination: Manage the details of international documentation, including phytosanitary certificates and export compliance.
Quality Control: Perform rigorous physical inspections of hardwood lumber to ensure NHLA grading standards and customer specifications are met.
Global Ambassadorship: Travel to visit clients, attend trade shows, and inspect timber sources (approx. 15% of time).
Collaborative Teamwork: Work daily with the mill yard and logistics teams to ensure a seamless forest-to-freight process.
What You Bring to the Table
Required Qualifications:
Local Presence: Must reside within 50 miles of Hazlehurst, GA, for daily onsite collaboration.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional "Eagle Eye" focus. You understand that a 1/8th-inch difference or a missed knot changes the value of the load.
Adaptability: A "your boots dirty" mentality. You can switch gears from the lumber yard to a professional client meeting instantly.
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to bridge the gap between local production and international buyers.
Passport Ready: Ability and willingness to travel internationally and navigate different cultures and time zones.
Preferred Experience:
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with NHLA grading rules or previous experience in forestry/wood products.
Logistics/Sales: 2+ years of experience in international logistics, export documentation, or high-value B2B sales.
Compensation
We offer a modern, performance-based package designed to reward growth and precision:
Full Benefits: Comprehensive Health, Dental, Vision insurance, and additional benefits.
Retirement: 401(k) with company matching.
Tools & Perks: Company-provided phone and laptop, 100% paid travel expenses, and professional development in global trade.
PTO package and Paid Holidays
How to Apply:
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter detailing your experience in sales, forest products, or international logistics to HR@BeasleyGroup.com.
