Job Description
Are you a motivated, experienced Optician looking to join a thriving, patient-focused practice? This private optometry office has been serving the Bay Area for over 50 years and continues to grow! They are seeking a full-time Optician with a proven track record in optical sales to join their outstanding team in San Jose, CA.
Provide exceptional customer service and eyewear sales support to patients in a fast-paced, multi-doctor practice
Accurately quote and process VSP and Eyemed insurance (VSP and Eyemed experience is a must)
Guide patients through frame and lens selection, offering expert recommendations based on their needs and preferences
Ensure precise fitting and adjustments of eyewear
Maintain organized records and assist with inventory management
Collaborate with doctors and staff to deliver a seamless patient experience
Schedule
Full-time, 4 days per week, alternating schedule for weekend coverage
Office Hours Compensation
$20–$35 per hour, depending on experience, plus commissions
Requirements
A detail-oriented professional with relevant eye care experience (licensure not required).
Strong knowledge of VSP and Eyemed insurance quoting and processing
Someone who brings a positive attitude and great energy to the team.
Committed to providing exceptional client care and fostering a welcoming environment.
Exhibits a strong work ethic.
Maintains perfect attendance and punctuality.
Has reliable transportation to and from the clinic.
Demonstrates eagerness to learn and grow in their field.
