Overview

We are seeking a mechanically experienced Small Engine Parts & Technical Support Representative to assist customers with troubleshooting, parts identification, and order placement over the phone. This role is ideal for someone who has worked in small engine repair, outdoor power equipment, lawn and garden equipment, or a related mechanical service environment and is comfortable helping customers diagnose issues and identify solutions. The right candidate can confidently walk a customer through small engine or equipment problems by phone, recommend parts or next steps, and process sales orders accurately. This is not an IT support role—we are looking for someone with hands-on mechanical knowledge and strong customer service skills. Key Responsibilities

Answer inbound customer calls regarding small engine equipment, parts, service questions, and product support. Help customers troubleshoot small engine and mechanical issues over the phone in a clear, professional, and practical manner. Assist customers in identifying the correct parts, accessories, or replacement items for their equipment. Enter and process sales orders accurately and efficiently. Recommend solutions based on customer needs, equipment symptoms, and service concerns. Communicate repair guidance and product information in a way that is easy for customers to understand. Escalate complex technical or warranty issues when necessary. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and follow-up needs. Support customers with a strong balance of mechanical problem-solving and inside sales/service support. Required Qualifications

Hands-on mechanical experience with small engines, outdoor power equipment, lawn equipment, generators, or similar products. Experience in small engine repair, service shop support, equipment maintenance, or parts/service counter work. Ability to diagnose or discuss common mechanical issues over the phone. Strong communication skills and ability to guide customers step-by-step. Experience processing orders, quoting parts, or supporting customers in a sales/service environment. Comfort working in a fast-paced customer support role. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with small engine repair shops, dealerships, outdoor power equipment, landscaping equipment, or equipment parts sales. Familiarity with engine components, parts diagrams, and service terminology. Experience supporting customers by phone in a mechanical or equipment-related role. Inside sales or parts counter experience. What Success Looks Like

Customers receive accurate, helpful support for small engine and equipment issues. Orders are entered correctly and efficiently. Customers feel confident in the recommendations provided. Mechanical questions are handled with professionalism and practical knowledge. Support conversations help lead to completed parts or product orders when appropriate. Important Note for Applicants

This position requires mechanical knowledge and experience with small engines or equipment repair/support. We are not seeking applicants whose experience is limited to IT, software, or computer technical support unless they also have directly relevant small engine or equipment experience.
