Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician
to join our compassionate and collaborative team in Archdale, NC.

Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians and technicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures Safely handle and restrain canine and feline patients Monitor patient behavior and report changes in condition Support hospitalized patient care and comfort Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical spaces Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment Assist with diagnostic procedures including radiographs and laboratory testing Help prepare patients for surgery or treatment Maintain clean and organized workspaces throughout the hospital Assist with patient intake and discharge Provide basic client education regarding pet care and medications Maintain accurate medical records Restock medical supplies and maintain inventory organization Help ensure a smooth and efficient workflow within the hospital
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Previous experience as a
Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Technician, Kennel Assistant, or Animal Care Technician Experience working in a
veterinary hospital, animal clinic, or animal care environment
Successful candidates for this role will demonstrate: Strong animal handling and restraint skills , with the ability to safely support patients during examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures Ability to
assist veterinarians and technicians during routine medical procedures , including patient preparation and support during treatments Familiarity with
basic veterinary clinical workflows , including exam room preparation, patient intake, and assisting with diagnostics Strong
attention to detail
when observing patient behavior, recording information, and supporting medical documentation Ability to
maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary clinical environment , including treatment areas and medical equipment Excellent
communication and teamwork abilities , with a willingness to collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and client service teams Comfort interacting with pet owners and providing
compassionate client support and basic education
when appropriate Ability to
prioritize tasks and remain organized in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment A
strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn , with motivation to grow within the veterinary field A genuine
passion for animal care and supporting high-quality veterinary medicine
