
Senior Purchaser

We're looking for a detail-oriented Senior Purchaser to lead procurement and inventory efforts while supporting production and ensuring on-time delivery of materials. This role partners closely with internal teams and vendors to drive efficiency, cost savings, and quality.
What You'll Do
* Manage purchasing operations, inventory levels, and supplier relationships * Analyze buying trends and forecast material needs * Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with vendors * Process and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery * Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and performance * Support production by preventing material shortages and resolving issues quickly * Maintain accurate purchasing data, reports, and vendor metrics * Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction

* Procurement and purchasing experience * Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate effectively in the English language * Ability to handle complaints and unpleasant customers using decision-making and analytical abilities * Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) * Strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to professionally complete administrative tasks * Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology * Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments * Ability to work collectively with team members * Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction * Professional appearance
Physical Work/Environment Requirements
* Position is in an office environment and may require the use of various types of office equipment (copier, computer, telephone, calculator, etc.) with occasional duties completed in a warehouse environment * May require light lifting * Requires continuous sitting, standing, and walking
