Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Streaming Technician Intern to support the live production of our podcast and virtual events. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in digital media, live streaming, and behind-the-scenes production. The intern will play a key role in ensuring smooth, professional broadcasts using platforms like StreamYard. THIS POSITION IS UNPAID.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in setting up and managing live streams for podcast recordings and virtual events
Operate streaming software (e.g., StreamYard) including layouts, banners, and screen sharing
Monitor audio and video quality during live broadcasts
Coordinate with hosts and guests to ensure they are properly connected and prepared
Manage backstage functions such as muting/unmuting, camera controls, and transitions
Troubleshoot basic technical issues in real time
Support recording, downloading, and organizing video/audio files after sessions
Assist with uploading content to social media and streaming platforms
Participate in pre-production planning and post-production review meetings
Qualifications
Interest in media production, broadcasting, communications, or a related field
Basic familiarity with live streaming platforms (StreamYard, Zoom, OBS, etc.) preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a live environment
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Reliable internet connection and access to a computer
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
