Job Description The Auto Body Technician’s primary responsibility and accountability is to provide an exceptional customer experience by meticulously assessing and repairing each vehicle to its pre‑accident condition. The Technician disassembles, repairs, and reassembles the vehicle, ensuring speed, quality, and customer excellence while aligning with company KPI targets and acting as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group.
Key Job Responsibilities
Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
Remove dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; mix and apply filler resins when needed.
Realign car chassis and frames for structural repairs.
Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts, including glass and windshields.
Replace or repair interior parts as required.
Weld and properly attach parts, then prepare and repaint vehicles with factory‑specified or equivalent paint.
Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair to ensure accuracy.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of a technical school program or a three‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
Required Skills/Abilities
Read job orders and work independently.
Collaborate effectively with other repairers.
Understand and apply vehicle body repair methods and procedures.
Operate required tools safely and accurately.
Other Requirements
Work safely in a noisy area with odors.
Lift up to 30 pounds intermittently.
Visually inspect vehicle damage under varying weather conditions.
Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

Compensation Details $23 – $33 per hour (Flat Rate). Flat Rate Compensation is a performance‑based structure tied to posted hours. If total compensation in a pay period is less than the applicable minimum wage, hours will be calculated with a guarantee of local or state minimum wage, whichever is greater.
Supplemental Pay Compensation is commensurate with skill, education, and experience. This position may also be eligible for bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
