Our client, a leading building automation systems provider, is looking for a driven and technically strong

Sales Engineer

based in

Austin, Texas , focusing on

service, upgrades, and retrofit projects . This role is ideal for someone who combines deep BAS knowledge with a consultative sales approach and enjoys helping clients modernize and optimize their facilities.

The Role You’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing opportunities related to BAS service agreements, system upgrades, and retrofit projects. Working closely with both technical and operational teams, you’ll deliver tailored solutions that improve building performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and grow a pipeline of

service and retrofit BAS opportunities

Engage existing and prospective clients to identify system improvement needs

Conduct site assessments and recommend upgrade solutions

Prepare proposals, estimates, and technical presentations

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery

Maintain strong client relationships and drive repeat business

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in

BAS sales or sales engineering , with a focus on service and retrofits

Background working with a

BAS OEM or systems integrator

(required)

Strong understanding of building automation systems, controls strategies, and HVAC systems

Ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value for clients

Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

Self-motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Bonus Points For:

Experience with

lighting control systems

Familiarity with multiple BAS platforms and open protocols
