Job Summary We are seeking a Database Management Analyst III (DMA3) to support the Maritime Command and Control (MCCOG) program in The selected candidate will provide advanced database administration, data management, and system optimization support for mission-critical Navy systems. This role includes database design, performance tuning, security implementation, and ensuring data integrity across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain database systems supporting MCCOG applications.
Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning.
Ensure data integrity, availability, and security across all database environments.
Develop and maintain database schemas, queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Implement database security controls in accordance with RMF and STIG requirements.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and cybersecurity teams.
Maintain documentation for database configurations and processes.
Qualifications Required
Active Secret Clearance
Master’s Degree
10 Years of professional experience administering, testing and implementing databases
Experience with relational database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
Strong knowledge of SQL and database design principles
Experience with database backup, recovery, and performance tuning
Desired
Experience supporting Navy programs
Familiarity with RMF, STIGs, and database security practices
Experience with cloud-based database solutions
Certifications such as Oracle DBA, Microsoft SQL, or equivalent
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Physical and Environmental Conditions Normal Office Environment. Requires Sitting, Standing, Near Acuity, Speaking with colleagues and customers, Listening, Sight, Use of hands/fingers.
