The Marketing Director is responsible for leading the strategic development, execution, and optimization of all marketing efforts within a manufacturing-focused, B2B environment. This role drives brand awareness, market growth, product launches, and demand generation while ensuring alignment with company-wide business objectives. Success requires strong leadership, technical product marketing expertise, and the ability to collaborate across sales, product, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the company’s comprehensive marketing strategy.

Lead branding, digital marketing, content creation, trade shows, advertising, and PR initiatives.

Support new product launches and existing product lines through coordinated marketing plans.

Create and manage sales enablement materials such as catalogs, spec sheets, case studies, and presentations.

Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to guide strategy.

Oversee marketing budgets, performance metrics, and ROI for all initiatives.

Mentor and manage a high-performing marketing team.

Strengthen distributor, OEM, and channel marketing programs.

Ensure consistent branding across all communication channels.

Provide direction on pricing, segmentation, and content strategies.

Support data and product info platforms like IDEA Connector and Home Depot Sync.

Contribute to sales forecasting and planning efforts.

Promote continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business (MBA preferred).

8+ years in marketing; 3+ years in leadership within B2B or manufacturing.

Experience marketing to OEMs, distributors, or industrial customers.

Ability to translate technical concepts into clear customer messaging.

Strong strategic thinking, analytical abilities, and project management experience.

Skilled in digital marketing, CRM (e.g., Salesforce), marketing automation (HubSpot/Marketo), and data analytics.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Leadership background with team development experience.

Understanding of industrial buying cycles; Lean or Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.

Ability to travel for trade shows.
