Enforce adherence to style guides and maintain high editorial standards.
Flag unclear instructions or weak reasoning in source materials.
Provide constructive feedback to help authors improve overall content quality.
Ideal Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in copy editing, proofreading, journalism, publishing, technical editing, or a related field.
Native or near-native proficiency in English with excellent grammar and writing skills.
Proven history of high-precision editorial work with minimal error rates.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to catch subtle inconsistencies.
Familiarity with major style guides (e.g., Chicago, AP, MLA) and their application.
Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent quality standards.
Reliable availability and commitment to ongoing engagement.
