Client Acquisition Manager

The Role This position is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, developing, and closing on target accounts for Sustainability Services.
Role Responsibilities
Establish new business opportunities with targeted accounts through prospecting, networking, qualifying and closing techniques.
Establish buying influences, budgets and purchasing criteria for new clients.
Utilize ENGIE Impact resources (Business Development, Solution Engineering, Sales Operations) to build, develop and support a new client pipeline.
Understand customer long‑term strategic business needs and increase level of contact within customer’s organization to allow for selling of new opportunities.
Effectively advise clients on ENGIE Impact services and product offerings.
Conduct presentations and opportunity assessments for new clients.
Lead the development of sales proposals. Enlists the support of sales engineers/specialists, implementation resources, delivery resources, and other sales and management resources as needed in response to RFPs.
Meet targeted personal New Bookings goals as determined by leadership.
Participate in the forecasting process and be accountable to the accuracy of the new booking timing.
Ensure a seamless transition of customer responsibility to Client Management or Program Manager following a successful sales process.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree required in Business Management, Marketing, Sales, Business Administration.
Minimum of five years of related sales experience, preferably in an energy services, sustainability, or resource management field.
Combination of relevant experience with educational and other skills and abilities may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to develop service and product knowledge.
Strong background in built‑environment sustainability, which may include specialized expertise in Energy, Renewables, Waste, Water and/or Carbon Accounting and Compliance.
Familiarity with performance contracting and sustainability finance is a plus (budgets, CAPEX, OPEX, ROI).
Solid selling and marketing skills with a proven and progressive track record.
Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to identify overall business value from a new partnership.
Demonstrated effective negotiation and closing techniques.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with prospective and existing customers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent presentation skills.
Solid time‑management and organization skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products.

Work Environment
Work schedules are determined by business need and manager discretion; full‑time employment is considered 40 hours per week.

Adequate working surface (can fit two monitors, a keyboard, mouse, and docking station).
Adjustable ergonomic chair.
Proper lighting.
Heating, air conditioning and ventilation to create a comfortable environment.
Appropriate internet and bandwidth to conduct business.
Incumbent may be exposed to frequent noise caused by telephones, office machines, and nearby oral communications among fellow employees.
As a global organization, attending meetings and events during early mornings and evenings may be required.
Performing duties and attending events during the evening and on the weekend occurs occasionally and may be required.
Traveling off‑site to employee and client locations, events and vendor meetings may be required.
Willing and able to travel up to 60% of the time.
Required Physical Abilities
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, and move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, sit, and use a computer for a long period of time.
Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents.
Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and by video call.
Sufficient near vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, in handwritten forms, and printed on paper.
Ability to lift and carry a stack of forms and documents weighing up to 15 pounds.
Ability to alternate between sitting and standing when this need cannot be accommodated by scheduled breaks and/or lunch period.

Pay Transparency: The target pay range for this position is $108,000–$182,000. Employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, and annual bonus.
