Regional Sales Manager - Retail Goods

Keller Executive Search, Orlando, FL, United States

Overview We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established souvenir and gift wholesale distribution company with a strong national presence across the United States and Canada. The business has built an impressive roster of major retail and travel accounts throughout Florida and is now entering a focused growth phase, with a clear goal of scaling its Florida territory.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thinks like a business owner. You will take full ownership of a large, active territory, lead a team of sales representatives and merchandisers across the state, and have the freedom to build the territory the way you see fit. The potential is there and the support is there. What they need now is the right person to go after it.

The role is based in Florida, with Orlando or Miami being the ideal locations. Regardless of where you are based, regular statewide travel is a core part of the job.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales representatives and merchandisers across Florida, holding the team accountable to performance standards while actively supporting their growth

Manage existing relationships with major national retail accounts including big-box retailers, pharmacy chains, and travel retail operators

Identify, prospect, and open new independent retail accounts to grow the territory

Spend meaningful time in the field checking in on displays, ensuring merchandising standards are met, and stepping in to cover field duties when needed

Monitor SKU and product performance across the territory and proactively recommend assortment changes to maximize sell‑through

Manage orders through the internal system and ensure accurate and timely fulfillment

Work closely with senior leadership on forecasting, business planning, and strategic initiatives

Travel throughout Florida regularly, with approximately one visit per year to the Canadian head office

Requirements Required Qualifications

Proven experience in field sales management within wholesale distribution, consumer goods, FMCG, or a similar product-based industry

Demonstrated track record of leading field sales teams of ten or more people

Experience managing relationships with large national retail accounts such as big-box, pharmacy, convenience, or travel retail operators

Genuine entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage a territory like a business, not just a headcount

Comfortable in a hands‑on, field‑based role and willing to be in stores alongside the team when needed

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the state of Florida

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the souvenir, gift, novelty, or impulse retail space

Familiarity with the Florida retail landscape and existing relationships with local independent retailers

Experience opening new accounts from scratch

Background in a franchise or owner‑operated business model

Bilingual English and Spanish are an asset given the Florida market
