Preferred locations for applicants to reside in: Grand Rapids, MI; Fort Wayne, IN; or any area in the north/west Indiana region.

As a

Senior Outside Sales Rep , you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward by engaging with retailers and promoting our products.

Responsibilities

Manage the assigned principals’ business (division and/or geographic) within designated independent customer accounts.

Make sales calls on assigned independent customers to sell new items, displays, and ads.

Deliver principals’ objectives to include volume and sales fundamentals such as new points of distribution, merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving goals at the assigned customers.

Call on decision‑makers at the customer to sell joint business plans, programs, and concepts.

Call on headquarters, supervisors, and other customer operations personnel for independent customers.

Pro‑actively communicate with the client.

Collaborate with Retail Sales Managers/RBMs on major retail initiatives sold at HQ.

Provide timely information of selling priorities to Retail Sales Managers/RBMs.

Make store calls as needed.

Utilize computer systems and technology to achieve the objectives of the Customer Business Plan.

Develop and maintain skill levels to support the use of Acosta communication systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of prior sales experience.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and sales skills with the ability to work effectively with team members, peers, management, and external customer contacts.

Basic Office (Outlook, Excel) functionality comprehension and proficiency in managing Outlook e‑mail, calendar, and basic Excel workbooks.
