We’re seeking a driven and detail‑oriented Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving on site, and is ready to grow into a future leadership position. Experience with schools, municipal buildings, or other public-sector projects will be a strong advantage.
Your new role Support the Superintendent in day‑to‑day site operations and coordination Assist with scheduling, subcontractor management, and workflow planning Monitor jobsite safety and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards Conduct site walks, inspections, and quality control checks Help track project progress, documentation, and reporting Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper installation Communicate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders Troubleshoot field issues and contribute to timely problem resolution
What you'll need to succeed 3 - 5 years' experience in commercial construction; public-sector project experience (schools, municipal buildings, etc.) is a plus. Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings, and specifications Ability to read and interpret plans and technical documents Solid communication and organizational skills Commitment to safety and quality Ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams Proficiency with construction management software is beneficial. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
