Role Overview At Genesys, we are redefining customer experience through AI, empathy, and global innovation. As a Social Media Intern on our Global Demand Generation team, you will play an active role in bringing our brand to life across digital channels. This is not a passive learning role. You will contribute to real campaigns that reach global audiences and support how companies connect with their customers every day.

You will gain hands‑on experience creating and publishing content, analyzing performance, and collaborating with experienced marketers across regions and functions. Along the way, you will see how social media connects directly to larger go‑to‑market strategies and business impact. This internship is designed to help you build practical, in‑demand digital marketing skills while making a meaningful contribution from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Support the planning and execution of organic social media content across key global platforms

Create and draft engaging social media copy, including content that amplifies employee voices and brand storytelling

Monitor social channels in real time to identify engagement opportunities and contribute to community interactions

Analyze social media performance metrics and surface insights that help improve content and campaign effectiveness

Participate in campaign planning sessions and help coordinate follow‑ups across teams

Collaborate with marketing, content, and brand teams to support integrated campaign execution

Contribute fresh ideas during brainstorming sessions and help shape creative social strategies

Provide operational support that keeps social media programs running smoothly and efficiently

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field

Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to tone and audience

Genuine interest in social media, content creation, and digital marketing trends

Ability to take initiative while also collaborating effectively in a team environment

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

Curiosity and willingness to explore tools, including AI, to improve productivity and creativity

Preferred Qualifications

Previous internship, coursework, or project experience in marketing, social media, or related fields

Familiarity with major social media platforms and basic content strategy principles

Experience contributing to student organizations, campus initiatives, or digital content projects

Exposure to social media management or analytics tools is a plus

Compensation This role has a market‑competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance‑based bonus opportunities.
