
Field Superintendent

A Top 50 ranked General Contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site operations for K-12 and municipal construction projects. This role will oversee ground-up and renovation projects typically ranging from $30M to $70M in value. The Superintendent will be responsible for driving schedule, safety, and quality while coordinating all field activities to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion
Manage and enforce project schedules to ensure timely delivery of $30M–$60M projects
Supervise subcontractors, field personnel, and vendors across multiple trades
Coordinate daily site logistics, sequencing, and workforce planning
Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a strong safety culture on site
Oversee quality control and ensure all work meets plans, specifications, and industry standards
Conduct regular site meetings, progress updates, and coordination sessions
Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and delays in a proactive manner
Coordinate inspections, testing, and project closeout activities
Maintain daily logs, reports, and project documentation
Work closely with Project Managers to align field execution with project goals
Required Qualifications 5–10+ years of construction field experience, with at least 3+ years as a Superintendent Proven experience delivering K-12, school district, or municipal/public works projects Experience managing ground-up or major renovation projects in the $30M–$60M range Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and field coordination Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades simultaneously
