Role Description
BusinessWest is seeking a dedicated and experienced Marketing & Event Manager to join our team on-site in Springfield, MA. This is a full-time role responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, planning and managing signature events, and fostering relationships with sponsors and community partners. The role also includes designing promotional campaigns, overseeing social media and digital outreach efforts, organizing event logistics, managing budgets, and coordinating with vendors and team members to ensure successful marketing initiatives and events.
Qualifications

Proficiency in Social Media Management, Digital Marketing, and Online Engagement
Strong skills in Budget Management, Organization, and Problem-Solving
Excellent Communication, Presentation, and Relationship-Building abilities
Experience in Public Relations and Community Networking
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field
Experience in publishing, media, or event-based industries is a plus
Pay: $54,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Event and Marketing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating events to ensure they run smoothly and successfully; and for managing the company’s multi-platform marketing campaigns, events, and sales-support efforts.
Event Management Duties
Plan and execute the company’s signature events and participation in other events including Chamber, business, and community events
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure all event requirements are met
Develop event budgets and manage expenses effectively
Utilize social media marketing and digital marketing strategies to promote events
Manage event details including client inquiries and ticket sales
Work as a liaison with event sponsors to fulfill sponsorship receivables
Conduct research to identify event opportunities and stay updated on industry trends
Oversee event setup, including decorations and seating arrangements
Collaborate with sales team to maximize event exposure
Utilize tools like WordPress, Constant Contact, and social media for event promotion
Marketing Management Duties
Develop and manage marketing campaigns inclusive of print, digital, social media, and multimedia
Manage and maintain an organized structure for digital ad campaigns
Manage and maintain reporting on data analytics for social media, digital, and website ads
Write and proofread creative copy for marketing efforts
Manage and send daily e-news
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Event and Marketing Manager or similar role
Strong budgeting skills with the ability to manage expenses efficiently
Proficiency in social media marketing and digital marketing strategies
Knowledge of advertising sales techniques
Familiarity with tools like Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and WordPress
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
