The Assistant LXD will use typical authoring tools to create content designed for the web, either via development tools or directly within the Learning Management System (LMS).**Job Responsibilities:**Design Work: Designs and develops online courses using contemporary development tools. Applies standards for course design and development within the course template. Adhere to style guides and quality standards for learning experiences. Utilize tools for course design and development and adhere to style guides and quality standards for unified and consistent learning experiences. Ensures learning design and content development are completed on time and meets standards of quality and best-practices in learning experience design. Completes instructional design documentation to ensure quality and consistency. Complete course revisions per tier determination. 50%Relationship-Building: Works with faculty to design and develop in the Learning Management System (LMS) credit and non-credit courses that are objective-aligned and engaging learning experiences within established design framework and cycle timelines.Serve as secondary lead for colleges. 20%Faculty Professional Development: Create training material and co-facilitate faculty professional development offerings. 15%Other duties as assigned. 15%**Minimum Qualifications:**Bachelor's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, or related, and 2 years of experience working as an instructional designer or a similar role within a higher education setting.Specific Experience:Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Experience in working in a Learning Management System (LMS). Familiarity with instructional technology tools.**Preferred Qualifications:**Specific Experience: Functional experience with multimedia; and working in an LMS.
