Description
The Marketing Assistant coordinates with department management to provide marketing administrative services. This position assists with marketing and communications efforts, including proposals, presentations, and internal and external communications.
Facilitates the dissemination of information to the department as part of the overall marketing and communications process.
Resolves questions regarding the department; research and provide appropriate answers.
Assist with preparation of meeting notes, presentations and tables utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, Access and other programs.
Monitor department deadlines and benchmarks and support presentation of monthly progress reports including tracking action items and progress updates.
Plan, coordinate and facilitate on-site and off-site meetings for the department. This may include: department orientation and training, stakeholder meetings, management meetings, periodic reviews, etc.
Prepare a variety of communication including emails, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED required.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Excellent communication skills: verbal, technical writing and creative writing as well as proofreading and editing.
High level of attention to detail.
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
