
Outside Specification Sales

The Opportunity: The primary responsibility of the Specification Sales position is to develop and maintain sales as well as a good working relationship with assigned accounts while working with all departments to facilitate follow-through on orders.
A successful Sales Rep will:Call on customers and develop long-term accounts through expert service and lighting specification, as well as relationship buildingMeet or exceed established sales goals, making at least 3-5 new sales calls per dayMaintain profitability by meeting sales goals and managing expensesMake a minimum of 3 proactive, product presentations per weekDevelop quick rapport & quickly assess the customer's need and will identify the lighting specification for their projectWill work with Management and Manufacturing Partners on training to become an expert in all things lighting as well as other products available on the market todayUnderstand all aspects of customer and sales service including but not limited to (order entry, returns, obtaining catalog numbers and pricing on replacement parts, some or all aspects of project management, etc.)Will have strong social skills, confidence, desire and ability to sell and most importantly, get the orderBe passionate about working in team atmosphere and helping othersSuccessfully complete all other duties assigned by ManagerEssential Skills:Education/Training: Degree or Lighting Certified (LC) preferred and at least 3 years of experience in the lighting industryAbility to develop presentations for customers and present in a professional mannerCognitive ability to learn and adaptBasic understanding of AutoCad, Revit, AGI32 preferredDemonstrated experience in B2B sales environment and achieving sales goals/growthMust possess experience in project quotationsMust have reliable transportation, a valid driver license and good driving recordMust be computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and utilize internet search engines
