Job Description:The Senior Director of Corporate Development will serve as a key leader in Nextpower’s growth strategy, responsible for managing the full lifecycle of mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments. This individual will work cross-functionally with executive leadership, finance, legal, product, engineering, and operations teams to identify, evaluate, and execute inorganic growth opportunities.This is a high-visibility, high-impact role ideal for an experienced dealmaker with strong analytical, transactional, and cross-functional leadership skills.Key ResponsibilitiesDeal Origination & StrategyContribute to the development of the company’s inorganic growth strategy in alignment with long-term corporate objectivesProactively source, screen, and cultivate relationships with potential acquisition targets, investment opportunities, and strategic partnersIdentify and quantify opportunities associated with emerging technologies, adjacent markets, and potential expansion vectorsFinancial Analysis & ValuationLead financial modeling, valuation analyses, and scenario planning for potential transactionsConduct rigorous assessments of target financials, industry dynamics, synergies, and integration requirementsPrepare and deliver data-driven recommendations to senior leadership and the BoardTransaction Execution & DocumentationManage the end-to-end M&A process from initial evaluation to closingSuggest and implement M&A process improvementsStructure transactions and negotiate key commercial terms in collaboration with executive leadershipCoordinate and oversee cross-functional due diligence, including key functional workstreams (financial, legal, operational, commercial, technical, HR, etc.)Serve as the primary interface with internal and external legal counselSupport the drafting, review, and negotiation of term sheets, letters of intent, purchase agreements, and ancillary documentationEnsure alignment across internal stakeholders on deal structure, terms, and post-close requirementsRefine financial models throughout diligence process and support transition to operating business plansIntegration & Post-Close SupportPartner with integration management office, business unit leaders, finance, and operations on integration planningSupport post-transaction performance monitoring and ensure realization of strategic and financial objectivesInternal Leadership & Stakeholder ManagementCommunicate effectively with executive leadership regarding pipeline, deal progress, and strategic insightsMentor and develop junior team members; contribute to building a world-class corporate development functionNextpower offers a comprehensive benefits package. The annual salary range for this position is $200,000.00-$300,000.00.
