Position: Director of Sales & Marketing Location: Canopy Hotel Harbor Point, Baltimore, MD Reports To: General ManagerSalary Range: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 annual (experience-based salary)Position OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead all revenue-generating sales and marketing efforts for our luxury Hilton-branded hotel. This executive role is responsible for driving topline revenue, market share growth, and brand positioning across all segments, including group, transient, and luxury leisure.This position is ideal for an experienced luxury hotel sales leader, including a high-performing Senior Sales Manager ready to advance into a Director role.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with revenue goals and brand standards.Drive growth in ADR, RevPAR, occupancy, and market share within the luxury competitive set.Lead all group, transient, catering, and leisure sales initiativesOversee strategic account management, contract negotiations, and pipeline developmentCollaborate closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, inventory, and distribution strategiesPartner with Marketing and PR teams to ensure consistent luxury brand positioningRepresent the hotel within the community, industry events, and global sales initiativesPrepare and present revenue forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to ownership and corporate leadershipIdentify emerging market opportunities and adjust strategies accordinglyLeadership & Team ManagementLead, mentor, and develop the Sales, Catering, and Marketing teamFoster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and service excellenceRecruit, train, and retain top sales talentConduct regular performance evaluations and coachingRequired QualificationsLuxury Hotel Experience — RequiredMinimum 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within luxury or upper-upscale hotelsDemonstrated success in a Senior Sales Manager, Associate Director, or Director roleProven ability to drive significant revenue growth and market shareHilton Brand Experience — Required Experience working within Hilton systems, standards, and cultureFamiliarity with Hilton sales platforms, reporting tools, and brand initiativesIdeal Candidate ProfileWe welcome ambitious Senior Sales Managers who demonstrate readiness to step into executive leadership.The ideal candidate will have:Proven track record in managing large groups and corporate accountsExperience with luxury leisure and high-end clienteleStrong negotiation and closing skillsStrategic mindset with hands-on leadership styleAbility to build relationships with owners, corporate teams, and key stakeholdersExceptional communication and presentation skillsEducation & Technical SkillsBachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field preferredProficiency in hotel sales systems Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret STR reports and financial dataWhat
