The Legacy Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel by Marriott, is set to open in 2026 and will redefine hospitality in Medina, Ohio. Featuring 77 beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites, thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, and multiple distinctive food and beverage venues, this upscale property will be a landmark destination celebrating Medina’s culture, history, and community.

As we prepare for opening, we are assembling a high-impact leadership team to establish the culture, service standards, and operational discipline that will define the hotel from day one. We are seeking a proven, strategic, and community-driven Food and Beverage Director to lead the pre-opening phase and launch this property as the premier hospitality destination in the region.

Position Summary The Food and Beverage Director holds full operational and financial responsibility for all food and beverage operations, including its multiple on-property venues. This leader will drive performance, build a strong service culture, and ensure Marriott brand excellence.

This role requires a hands‑on executive with significant full-service and high-end F&B experience, strong financial acumen, and the ability to lead in a complex pre-opening environment.

Key Responsibilities Executive Leadership & Culture

Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing department leadership team.

Establish a culture rooted in accountability, hospitality excellence, and community connection.

Lead all pre-opening efforts including staffing strategy, training execution, SOP implementation, and operational readiness.

Supervise all department personnel demonstrating high leadership skills, model behaviors, and exemplary actions.

Complete department schedules.

Plan, assign, and direct various department tasks and projects as needed.

Brand & Guest Experience

Ensure full compliance with Tribute Portfolio and Marriott brand standards.

Personally engage with guests and community leaders to build loyalty and long-term relationships.

Maintain a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for guests and associates.

Oversee all F&B outlets and banquet operations to ensure seamless execution and service excellence.

Continuously develop and implement innovative offerings to remain competitive in the local market.

Financial & Operational Excellence

Deliver strong top-line revenue growth and bottom-line profitability.

Develop and execute annual budgets.

Lead daily operations across all departments, including multiple restaurants and event venues.

Optimize labor, cost controls, and revenue strategies to maximize profits.

Execute proper product management which includes inventorying, ordering, purchasing, securing, and issuing all food, beverage, and bar products and supplies.

Participate in menu development and pricing structure.

Ensure proper payment handling procedures are consistently maintained.

Maintain and abide by state and OSHA safety, sanitation, and health regulations as well as company and brand requirements.

Sales, Community & Market Presence

Develop strategic partnerships and drive local business engagement.

Position The Legacy Hotel as the preferred destination for lodging, dining, and events.

Support proactive sales initiatives and revenue generation strategies.

On-Property Venues The Legacy Hotel will feature four distinctive dining and event experiences:

Lily Jean’s | Privato | La Vista | Locale at the Legacy Event Center Strong, high-end restaurant leadership experience is essential.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Food and Beverage Director in a full-service hotel.

Extensive experience overseeing multiple food and beverage outlets (high-end or free-standing restaurant experience strongly preferred).

Prior Marriott experience is highly desirable but not required.

Proven ability to deliver strong financial performance and revenue growth.

Strong established networking ability.

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.

Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
