Senior Pastor

Cedar Church is seeking a Senior Pastor to shepherd a healthy, stable, and growing congregation near Grand Rapids, Michigan. The pastor will focus on expository preaching, discipleship, and pastoral care, supported by a highly engaged and collaborative Session that shares leadership responsibility.
Cedar is a warm, intergenerational church committed to Reformed theology, vibrant worship, and active outreach locally and globally. This structure allows the Senior Pastor to lead without carrying every aspect of ministry alone.
Located in Ottawa County—one of the fastest-growing areas in West Michigan—Cedar offers a flourishing, family-rich community near Lake Michigan. The region includes many NAPARC churches, providing strong presbytery collaboration and meaningful pastoral support.
Requirements Qualifications
Ordained (or ordainable) in the OPC
Deep commitment to Scripture and the Westminster Standards
Demonstrates strength in faithful, clear expository preaching and teaching
Strong shepherding heart with relational pastoral care skills
Proven ability to equip, disciple, and develop leaders
Collaborative leadership style; works well with engaged elders and shared governance
Demonstrated character marked by humility, integrity, and spiritual maturity
Heart for both local outreach and global missions
Able to lead without micromanaging, strengthening existing healthy ministries
A strong opportunity for an experienced Associate Pastor ready to transition into a Senior Pastor role
